Quick and Easy BBQ Tofu

  • 1 lb firm tofu, I used House Foods brand
  • ¼ cup ketchup (reduced sugar okay)
  • ¼ cup yellow mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  1. For best results, press the tofu using a tofu press or heavy weight for a couple of hours, up to overnight.
  2. Slice the tofu into ½ inch slices. Set aside.
  3. Combine the ketchup, mustard, soy sauce and garlic powder in a small bowl. Stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce over the tofu slices and toss until all tofu is fully coated.
  5. Line the tofu slices up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Broil on high for five minutes. Flip each piece, then broil for an additional five minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
