Crispy Baked Hot Dog Coins
Serves: 8-10 servings
  • 8 hot dogs, cut in ¼ inch slices
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tablespoons duck sauce
  • 1½ cups Best Select Panko Crumbs, I used sesame flavor
  1. Preheat oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Place hot dog slices in a bowl and toss with flour until all slices are coated. Discard excess flour.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and duck sauce until combined. Pour over hot dog slices and toss until evenly coated. Pour off any excess liquid.
  4. Pour panko crumbs over the hot dogs and toss until they are coated in crumbs.
  5. Grease prepared baking sheet with non-stick spray. Place hot dogs in a single layer on baking sheet and spray the tops with non-stick cooking spray as well.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, until golden and crispy.
Prepare ahead:
  1. These can be frozen and rewarmed. Make sure to rewarm, uncovered, in a single layer to prevent them from getting soggy.
