I am by no means a professional photographer. I don’t fancy myself some kind of expert just because a couple of my pictures have been accepted on Food Gawker. However, I remember all too well the confusion I felt when choosing a camera, and the feeling that I would never understand all that gibberish.
I am lucky to work in a company that employs a number of professional photographers who have taught me loads about photography, and I am lucky enough to attend training sessions on various aspects of photography. I know that most people don’t have access to all of this information, so I wrote it up for you.
I added a page above explaining some of the technical terms of photography in what I hope are layman’s terms.
Please check out my new page, Photography Basics, and spread the word to anyone who might find this information useful.
Enjoy, and please let me know if you have any questions!
Remember that engagement party I was working so hard on? I totally need to show you folks some pictures and brag about all of the gorgeous things I made. I also (believe it or not) have some amazing new recipes to share, so check back soon! -Miriam
I get my images accepted at TasteSpotting, Tasteologie, Photograzy and Kitchen Artistry… but Gawker seem to hate what I do. Gits…
