Mini Pumpkin Pie Trifles are a decadent and creamy twist on a classic treat. Do you receive the Overtime Cook newsletter? Full of recipes, kitchen tips and deals and more! Click here to signup. Here's a little secret. I've never had pumpkin pie. Crazy, right? Well. What can I tell you? Growing up, pies were usually fruit based. We'd have apple pie, cherry pie, and others. Full of recipes, kitchen tips and deals and more! Click here to signup. As a professional recipe developer who's also a big worrier, I find myself worrying about a lot of things. For example, when I posted this roast recipe for the holidays, a TON of people told me they were making it. So naturally, I worried. What if I copied the instructions down wrong and caused people to ruin their $60 piece of meat?! Thankfully, the roast got RAVE reviews, and I got to stop worrying, but you get the point. I worry. A lot. But … [Read more...]

I dunno, but there's definitely something about that. In anticipation, I planned to post this recipe yesterday. I figured that with the Northeast all snowed in under a "blizzard of the century," you'd all be baking cookies, and would appreciate a new one to try. Orange Glazed Orange Cookies

January 13, 2015 by overtimecook 33 Comments

Bursting with orange flavor and boasting an incredibly chewy and melt-in-your-mouth texture, these orange glazed orange cookies are about to become your new favorite! This post is for my sister, Sarah. Don't worry, the rest of you guys can read along. You see, when Sarah got married a couple of years ago and moved to Israel, I went from seeing her almost daily, to seeing her...once or twice a year. And then she had a baby, but I didn't get to meet my adorable niece until she was about ten months old. It was tough...missing all of her early milestones. Soft and chewy and full of fabulous fall flavors, these pumpkin spice crinkle cookies will be your favorite of the season! Who doesn't love a good crinkle cookies recipe? Next, I devised my Coffee Crinkle Cookies. I know that so many of you are already super into them. For those who aren't yet, you've got to get on that. If you love coffee and love … [Read more...]

They probably thought we were big cereal eaters....I guess we were, but not in the way they intended! Next, we learned quickly all of the creative ways we could use the microwave and toaster ovens … [Read more...]
